Andrea Ehret is a Slovak visual artist and performer based in Prague.
Working primarily in expressive abstraction, her practice explores the relationship between inner transformation, emotional memory, Jungian archetypes and the unseen dimensions of human experience.
Drawing from art therapy, Eastern philosophy, dream imagery, and intuitive process, Ehret creates multilayered paintings that balance spontaneity with contemplation.
Her works investigate themes of healing, feminine energy, freedom, and the dialogue between light and shadow. Through gesture, color, and texture, she seeks to create spaces where personal and collective narratives can emerge beyond language.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, South Korea, India, Qatar, and the United States. Selected venues and projects include the World Trade Center Art Gallery in The Hague, Port Gallery Barcelona, NoonPowell Fine Art Gallery London, PADO Gallery Los Angeles, Art in Dongsan South Korea, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Washington D.C., and the Qatar International Art Festival in Doha, where she represented the Czech Republic as an Art Brand Ambassador.
In 2022, Ehret was awarded the prestigious Denis Diderot Grant and completed an artist residency at Château d’Orquevaux in France. She is also a recipient of the Global Art Awards Tokyo, where she was named an official winner in the Abstract Art category, recognizing her contribution to contemporary abstract painting on the international stage.
Her paintings are held in private collections throughout Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Middle East, India, Australia, and New Zealand.
